Obadia the two major religions

Obadiah – End-time church.

The Holy Spirit preserved the vision of Hosea for the end-time church.

See Genesis chapter 24 onwards for the background of the book.

Edom, next to Israel, todays Jordan, started of as a brother.

Isaac, son of Abraham married Rebekah. She gave birth to tweens Jacob and Esau. Jacob, later named Israel, managed skillfully, to get the firstborn blessing from his father. The first born right actually belonged to Esau. That situation became the beginning of centuries of wars between two brothers, to two nations and two religions. This war is still going on today, it is the war between the Christian faith and the Muslim faith. It will end in the final war, when Christ return.

Deuteronomy chapter 2 verse 4: After wandering around in the wilderness for 40 years the Lord let the people pass through the wilderness of Seir. The Lord said: You will pass through the territory of your brother Esau, they will be afraid of you so be careful.

Verse 9: They thereafter passed through the land of Moab. The Lord said: Do not fight with the people, for I have given the land to the sons of Lot, Abraham’s brother.

Verse 10: The Emims lived there formerly. A people great and numerous, tall as the Anakims – they were descendant of a mighty people described in

Genesis chapter 6. A people, whom David and Joshua eliminated, after Gods will, because they were descendant of the fallen angel, who had married the daughters of man. When Lucifer fall, a third of the angels joined him, and thus became destined to separation from God eternal.

Isaiah chapter 14 verse 12: How you have fallen from heaven o son of the morning star. You have been cut dawn to earth, you have weakened the nations, but you said in your heart: I will ascend into heaven; I will raise my throne about the stars of God. Verse 14: I will make myself like the most high.

Isaiah chapter 14 verse 20: Prepare for his sons a place of slaughter, because of the iniquity of their fathers. They must not arise and take possession of the earth,

and fill the face of the earth with cities.

Bones of giants have been found in many places in the world, and it always causes controversy, because it is a testimony to the reliability of the written word in the bible, and it weakens the theory about evolution, which newer have been proved. Darwin did not have the scientific knowledge available today.

Edom and Moab is todays Jordan. They has to be friendly towards Israel,

because they are dependent on them for several reasons like water, gas and oil.

Jordan actually is a brother to Israel and stands with a leg on both sides the Muslims and the Jews.

All through the bible those two nations represent two kinds of spirits.

Esau represents the spirit of the flesh the works of man.

Jacob represents the work of the Holy Spirit the spirit of Christ.

These two, the spirit of the flesh and the spirit of Christ, fight against each other.

It started with Abel and Cain, it is seen in king Saul and David, and it goes on op to this day. Iran openly confesses, they are determent to destroy Israel. It will end in the final war, then Christ will return to save the world from destruction.

Galatians chapter 5 verse 16:  Walk in the spirit and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

Chapter 1 verse 3: The arrogance of your heart has deceived you, you who live in the cleft of the rock.

Verse 4: Though you build high like the eagle, thought you build your nest among the stars, from their, I will bring you dawn, declares the Lord.

Verse 10: The Lord goes on to declare – because of violence to your brother Jacob, you will be covered with shame, and you will be cut of forever.

Verse 11: On the day strangers carried of his wealth, and foreigners entered his gate and cast lot for Jerusalem, you too were one of them.

Verse 12: Do not gloat over your brother’s day and of his misfortune. Do not rejoice over the sons of Judah in the day of their destruction, and do not boast in the day of their distress.

Verse 13: Do not enter the gate of my people in the day of their disaster and do not gloat over their calamity. Do not loot their wealth in the day of their disaster.

Verse 14: Do not stand at the fork of the road to cut dawn their fugitives, and do not imprison their survivors in the day of their distress.

People in the area of Edom, Moab and Ammon were very violent and cruel people. When we in the Old Testament read about the wars going on, we have to consider the background. When Israel started sinning like their brothers, God did also deal with them accordingly.

Considering this it should be understandable, that a universal law had to be installed by God himself, after which he will judge the world in righteousness.

God gave different covenant. It started with Moses who got the law and were to build a tabernacle after the design existing in heaven.

Abraham got a son in whom all people were to be blessed.

David was promised a king that would reign throughout all eternity.

We can learn a lot, about how God intervene in the world, by observing how God dealt with the people in the Old Testament as well as in the New Testament.

We can claim what is ours based on the promises in the scripture.

The devil is a thief who comes to steal and destroy. He will be bound, if we cast him out, as long we are in line with the word of God.

All this has past, and God is about to fulfill what has been promised throughout generations – God with us for all eternity.

2 Timothy chapter 3 verse 1: Realize this in the last days difficult times will come, men will be lowers of self, lowers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy.

Verse 3: Unloving, irreconcilable, malicious, gossips without self-control, brutal, hater of good.

These people from ancient time were, very brutal immoral people capable of evil and terror to the limit, and were completely contrary to Gods standard.

God require deliverens from evil, thereafter holiness then prosperity.

Chapter 1 verse 17: Obadiah goes on to prophesy about the day of the Lord.

Verse 15: As you have done, it will be done to you, concerning Edom, Moab and Ammon. Those countries has had several wars in the past.

Weather the judgment has been fulfilled or not is a question.

Verse 17: The house of Jacob will possess their possessions.

Verse 15 to 21: The lord distributes the land among the tribes.

Gods rescue plan for the people in Israel during the last 3,6 year.

Matthew chapter 24 verse 16: Then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains.

Daniel chapter 11 verse 41: He antichrist will enter the beautiful land and many countries will fall, but these will be rescued out of hand Edom, Moab and Ammon, todays Jordan.

The people in Israel will have a chance to flee to the mountains of Edom, Moab Ammon the last 3,6 years.

Revelation chapter 12 verse 6: Then the woman fled into the wilderness where she had a place prepared by God for 1260 days.

Verse 15 and 16: The serpent poured out water like a river that he might cause her to be swept away, but the earth opened op his mouth and drank up the river, which the dragon poured out of his mouth.

Jesus said to his disciples: When you see all this things happen, look up for the time is at hand, rejoice over your salvation. God will be with us.
