Transformation.

Proverbs.

Transformation.

A word a day on my way,

blessed be the Lord I only can say.

Prosperity and health belongs to me,

I am able to give and receive.

Eternal life is my final destiny,

Christ was born he gave himself for me.

To know wisdom and instruction – to discern and understand.

Proverbs has 31 Chapter – one for each day in a month.

The book gives advise on how to conduct our life on earth and is therefor a most interesting book.  It was written by king Salomon and Hezekiah.

Some Proverbs may have been copied from Josef time in Egypt.

Chapter 1 to chapter 9 speaks about wisdom.

Chapter 8 verse 22: Jesus Christ was Wisdom before he came to earth and his name was the Word. The Lord possessed me at he beginning, before his works of old.

See John chapter 1: In the beginning was the Word. The Word was with God and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through him, and apart from him, came nothing into being.

Verse 14: The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us.

The Apostles fully understood this. On earth the Word became:

God is our salvation. In eternity Jesus Christ will write his new name on us.

See the book of Revelation chapter 3 verses 12.

Jesus had the Holy Spirit to carry out his work. The Holy Spirit is the spirit of Christ and part of the Godhead. He told his disciples, that he had to live them, so that he could send the Holy Spirit, which did happen on Pentecost.

John chapter 3 verse 5: Unless one is born of water and of spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

Verse 16: For God so loved the world, that he sent his only begotten son and whoever believes in him, shall not perish but have eternal life.

There are 2 kind of spirit in the world.

It is impossible not to choose, for if we neglect the true and only God willfully, we have already chosen and are subject to an ungodly spirit.

Believer needs the Spirit of Christ to understand heavenly things, and we need the word to renew our mind to be conformed to the image of Christ.

John chapter 4 verse 23: Worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for such people the Father seeks to be his worshippers.

The easiest way to understand the Godhead is to imaging 3 individual persons living in the same house, or 3 fingers on one hand who works separately and together.

Jesus Christ came to forgive to renew and restore fallen humanity by giving us the Holy Spirit – his Spirit in our inward parts. If we ignore this gift, an ungodly spirit will eventually take over, and it does not ask us permission, God let it happen.

The greatest sin is not to accept the Spirit of Christ if we have heard about it. God deal differently with those who have not heard about it. All this is confirmed in the scripture.

It is a serious choice.

Chapter 9 verse 1: Wisdom has build her house; she has hewn out her 7 pillars.

She has prepared her food and she has mixed her wine.

She has also set her table, and she has sent out her maidens to call.

Verse 5: Come eat my food and drink of the wine I have mixed,

refers to the cross. Jesus Christ has given the invitation

The 7 pillars is the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Christ.

Revelation chapter 1 verse 4: Grace to you and peace from him who was who is and is to come and from the 7 Spirits who are before his throne.

1 Corinthians chapter 1 verse 30: You are in Christ Jesus who became wisdom to us. Wisdom from God and righteousness and sanctification and redemption.

As the Godhead is 3 in one, so we are destined to be one in Christ.

No other religion has a God who by love offered himself to save man.

No other religion has such a stable prove of the truth.

We are saved only by grace because all have sinned.

The law in the Old Testament had to be given as a foundation because of our sinful nature, so that we realize that we are sinners.

A New Testament or a new covenant was given, because of the Cross.

Only a guiltless offering could remove our sinful nature for all eternity.

Forgiveness by grace was established for all time from the beginning to the end for all mankind – as a free choice and a gift from above.

7 fold Spirit of Wisdom is the Spirit of the Lord.

The Greek word for wisdom is Sofia – which means wisdom of the spirit world.

The essence of wisdom causes knowledge and life to come fort.

There are many types of wisdom:

Like being skillful – being a diplomat – having excellence control of the body.

Analogical ability – being an intellectual and many more.

Pearls of truth.

The chapters also include warnings about what not to do.

In order to feel the benefit of blessings, most warnings are left out for the readers to read for themselves.

To God belongs all honour – meaning to act by faith in God with a thankful heart.

Proverbs chapter 2 verse 3 -12. –  Spirit of Wisdom.

For if you cry for discernment and lift your voice for understanding.

If you seek her as silver and search for her as hidden treasures, then you will discern the fear of the Lord and discover the knowledge of God, for the Lord gives wisdom and from his mouth comes knowledge and understanding.

He store up sound wisdom for the upright. He is a shield to those who walk in integrity and guarding the path of justice. He preserves the way of his godly ones. You will then discern righteousness and justice and equity and every good course. For wisdom will enter your heart and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul. Discretion will guard you, understanding will watch over you, to deliver you from the way of evil.

The Holy Spirit comes into our life when we cry out for him.  King Salomon in

1 king chapter 3 prayed and asked for a understanding heart to judge among the people of Israel, admitting he did not know how to come in and go out.

He considered himself as a child.

God was very pleased about his request to understand discernment and justice.
